Tomorrow, Tyler would be in Afghanistan. He joined the army out of sheer frustration. He felt like it was the only way to not feel bad about himself. He might die, he might live. Either way, his life would never be the same.
He almost wanted to die right now. But he felt like he had to do this.
He called Sally's phone for the fifth time, hoping he could just tell her where he was going.

Sally was about to crack. Tyler had been calling her for so many times. Hearing the annoying *ring* noise on her cell phone again is making her think of buying a new cell phone. No matter how much it'd cost. Instead, she just picked it up out of annoyance.
"Hi. Bye."
Sally decided to wait a few seconds before hanging up.

Tyler hoped she would actually show some toward of emotion besides anger towards him.

Sally was caught by surprise by the statement. There was a war over there right now. She was pretty sure he wasn't going on tour.

He simply said that. The plain and simple truth. The only truth he might ever tell Sally again.
He heard a knock at the door followed by Leah's voice.
He let her in, but signaled for her to be quiet.

Sally froze up there for awhile. She needed some time to think. The army? Are you kidding me she thought? Why in the world would he make such a choice? Does he know how dangerous it is? How you could get killed easily?
"Oh....wow."
Why couldn't she say more? She was speechless. She had all those thoughts. But no way to say them.

Leah had been waiting for a while now. She heard Tyler talking to someone. She frowned to herself when she heard him say something about Sally. "Oh, that is IT!" She said to herself. Leah broke through the door, hands on hips.."Tyler, why didn't you answer the door? It's cold and I've been waiting!" She said, in a whiny tone.

Sally just said nothing. Her eyes started to shed a tear. It was shining and it dripped on her songbook. She was working on a song about how she thought Tyler was a jerk. She totally trashed it and threw it in the trash. What was going in her head? Too many thoughts in one moment. At that moment, she hung up. Then she walked outside putting her coat on. She brought a cab then. The drive asks seeing her tears where she was heading.

They weren't even dating but she acted like they were. He could barely stand being around her anymore. If he never met her, he wouldn't have ever ruined his life.
