Rori sat alone in the booth with a cappucinno. It was one of the first times she came out of her house since Tyler died, and that was months ago. She just couldn't believe her big brother was dead.
And on top of that, Riley, her 17 year old cousin and former best friend, was expecting a baby. Rori hadn't talked to her since she found out.
Nick broke up with her because he found out about her outlet.
She needed an outlet, and she found one. Cutting herself. She felt like it was the only pain she could control.

Richard's hero had always been Rori. He was obsessed with her. It would be a dream come true if he could meet her..........................................................

Rori looked across the room. Everyone seemed to be happy. Everyone except her.
She saw a few familiar faces, but none really interested her.
Until she saw a face she once fantasized about.
DAVID COOK!
Suddenly a spark of the old Rori was back. The old, fun-loving Rori. But nothing more than a spark. Although she was excited, she didn't make an effort to get up, but just stared at him.

Our eyes connected, and it was instant MAGIC! Richard fell in love immediately. He envisioned he and Rori spending the rest of their lives together. Forever and always. But he had to make the first move. So................he plucked up the courage, walked over to her, and introduced himself.

"Oh..." she said, the name Richard,
"I sort of thought you were David Cook," she continued.
And just like that, the spark she was feeling dropped into her sorrow again.
But, it was amazing... He looked just like David. But she was dissapointed that it wasn't.

Richard saw the disappointment in Rori's face. Girls constantly mistook him for David Cook so he wasn't at all surprised at Rori's reaction. But that didn't stop him from being disappointed. He overlooked this, and started small talk with Rori.

This was one of the reasons Rori hated going out in public. Guys always coming on to her.
Even if this one did perk her interest a little, it seemed too soon after Nick.
But, she wanted to get her mind off Tyler. So she decided to play along for a while.
"Want to do something later?" she said.

Richard answers, "Sure," He has no idea what Rori has in mind but he'll do anything to be with her for a while longer.

He rolled his way into the coffee shop, struggling his way through the front doors as his wheelchair squeezed through the tiny gap. 'Ugg, why aren't these places handicap-friendly?' Chris thought to himself as he eventually rolled past the front doors and up to the front counter to the cashier.
"The usual," Chris mumbled to the employee. He had become a usual at Starfolds. No longer was he a cheerful, happy newbie in town. He was now a very sad, very depressed usual in The City. And all because of that girl....
He still was not over Riley. No, he did not feel ,anything for her, but she was consistently on his mind, and he was not sure why. She was just the type of girl that sort of stuck with you forever, the type of girl who glued herself to your brain and would be stuck there even if you attempted to throw her out. And it wasn't only because of what she did to him, it wasn't only because the impact her actions had on his life, both physically and mentally. It was...her.
His chocolate milkshake came out nice and smooth, just like he liked it, which lightened his mood slightly. After all, chocolate was proven through science to lighten moods, along with it's amazing taste. At that moment, chocolate seemed to be the only thing great in the world. He was beginning to get addicted to it.

"Maybe we could see a movie or something..." she said.
Anything to help her emotionally.

"Sure", Richard says. He takes Rori's hand and they walk to a nearby cinema.

Rori got tickets to a random movie, having no idea what it was about. It ended up being a drama about a girl whose life turned from perfect to terrible when her brother was killed. Like her life story. In the scene where she was in the hospital with him, she couldn't take it.
Rori's life was worse. She never even got to say goodbye.
She broke down crying and walked out, pretty much forgetting about Richard.

All of a sudden, near the end of the movie, Rori breaks down and starts crying. She flies out, and I run after her, worried. I asked her if there was anything I could do to help but she said, "No, I just want to go home. Just take me home." I felt so bad for her, but there was nothing I could do. So, I took her to her home.
