Gary smiled. seeing the joy on Riley's face was enough to make Gary's whole world perfect. He went into his jacket pocket and pulled out a little beanie. He put it on Alec's bald head. He smiled.
"Now, nobody will notice that he is bald!" Gary chuckled.

"Careful, he has your hair!" she said.
Feeling the warmth of her baby in her arms made her so happy.
"He was worth it all..." she said.

Gary looked at Riley.
"It was even worth the drama. Now we are all here, happy as can be. Are you feeling alright?"

"Better than alright..." she said.
She looked down at Alec's tiny face. He opened his eyes for the first time. This whole experience made her grow up a lot. She didn't come first anymore.
"I love both of you..." she said.

Gary looked at Alec, and his eyes reminded him of Riley's eyes. Her gorgeous eyes. "I love you both, too. His eyes look like yours. They're perfect." Alec looked up at Gary, and Gary waved.
"Hey. buddy!" He whispered. The tears slowed down, as it started setting in that he was a father.

"I bet your puppy can't wait to meet you!' she said.
"I hope we can take him home soon..." she added.
She just wanted to go home and start living her new life. Because she had a feeling it was gonna be great.

Gary walked over to the door and asked the doctor when they could go home.
[["Maybe tomorrow. You will need to stay here for at least 24 hours, and make sure that the baby is alright.]] Gary nodded.
He walked over to Riley. "You heard him, we have to sleep here for the night." Gary pulled a chair over to the hospital bed and sat on it.

"You can go home Gary... I'll be fine." she said.
She looked down at Alec again, who was smiling at her.

"No, I don't want to. It won't be the same without you." Gary didn't want to leave Riley at the hopsital alone. He suddenly remembered he was missing a baseball game. His two favorite teams against each other. The game he had been looking forward to all season. No, he couldn't leave Riley. He'll watch it online...

"You need to feed the dog and stuff..." she said.
"And I'm sure you could be doing something to ready for Alec's arrival," she continued.

Gary sighed. He hated leaving Riley. He was in love with her, and leaving her was like having no oxygen for hours. But, she insisted he go home...
"Alright. I'll meet you at home tomorrow." He leaned in and kissed her on the cheek.
"I'll miss you." He said, and he walked out the door.

Riley held Alec's tiny hand in her own. She just wanted to go home. Alec fell back asleep. She set him in the plastic crib thing next to her and did the same.
THE NEXT MORNING----------------------------------------------------------
Riley woke up to Alec's sleeping face.
["Well, everything seems to be normal, you are free to go home unless you want to recover here..."]
Riley picked up her cell phone and texted Gary.
'Can u pick us up? Bring the car seat..."

Gary got in his car. He started racing down to the hospital, and he ran up to Riley and Alec's room. He rushed over to them.
"I'm so sorry. Some weirdo girl was trying to force me to have sex with her, but I didn't. She put a gun to me and I had no choice. I sat on the bed and Landon, that cop that brought us to the hospital, saved my life. I wouldn't have even sat on the bed if she didn't point the gun at me, and I'm so sorry. Really." Gary was hoping Riley wouldn't get the wrong message.
