It was about 10 AM. Rori wasn't awake yet so she snuck out and went to the hotel. She walked down the hall and found room 22. She knocked on the door.
This was so nerve-wracking. If this worked out, it would be so amazing. She didn't feel it was wrong at all, because it wasn't like he was just taking advantage of her.
"It's me, Brad," she said.

Brad was still half asleep when he heard the door.
"It's me, Brad," she said.
Brad was surprised she was here this early. He usually doesn't get up til noon. Plus, he was in his boxers, nothing else.
"Hold on", he called.
He raced around the room putting on his clothes. He quickly washed his face and went to open the door.
"Sup", he said, trying to sound like he'd been awake for a long time.

"Can I come in?" she asked.
She looked into his eyes, and she could still feel it.
Her night was flooded with dreams about him. She was so nervous she was shaking.
In one of them, she went home with him and his parents kicked him out. But he still didn't give her up.

"Uh, sure" he replied. "It's a bit messy though."
He stepped aside so she could walk in. She looked like she was crying the whole night. Her eyes were all puffy.
As he closed the door, he knew it was going to be a dramatic morning.

"I missed you," she said.
Her knees felt wobbly. She felt like she might faint. She sat down on the bed.
"Do you think we have a shot at a relationship?" she said.

Here they go again, Brad thought. He just woke up and he didn't feel like talking about it.
"Kaylee, I really don't know" he said "I barely had any sleep last night, and I can't think right now."
He knew he should say no, but he wanted to say yes. He just didn't know what to do.
"Want some breakfast?" he finally asked.

"No, I think I'd throw up if I ate anything..." she said.
She was exhausted, nervous and felt sick. Why was she doing something so stupid? She was usually a practical and mature person.
"Why don't we just quit while we're ahead... You are going back home and you are 10 years older than me... I don't want to, but maybe it is best..." she said weakly, eyes full of tears.

"Maybe..." he said.
He knew it was for the best, but how come it felt like his heart just got stabbed by a knife? He couldn't take this. All of it. He felt just like the way he felt when he first sat on that park bench. To think if he hadn't sat on it...would all this ever happen? Did fate put them together?

Something came over her, and she stood on her toes and kissed him.
She didn't know why she did it, but it seemed like the right moment. She thought maybe somehow it would make everything all better.

Brad's eyes opened up in shock! How could he be kissing a 14 year old?! But something in him kept him from backing away. In fact, it pushed him forward. Suddenly, he was kissing her back. It was wrong! But he was enjoying it.

Kaylee pulled back from the kiss.
"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have," she said.

"It's ok..." he said.
He wanted it to continue, but he couldn't tell her that.
"Uhh, I'm gonna go fry myself some eggs" he said, changing the subject.

"Brad... I need to know something..." she said.
"Do you want to be with me?"

Again, he didn't know how to respond. He just said the first thing that came to his mind.
"Yes...but it can't happen" he said. "It's just not possible.
