Tyler felt dumb, breaking bad news right to start off with.

Then when Tyler said that, she felt a little uncomfortable for some reason. But quickly recovered.

Sally realized she just met the boy of her dreams and started to get real upset she was going away in three days. It didn't show on her face though.
"...yeah! David probably wants me to work on a CD so I don't think I have a choice. Heh heh!"

Tyler was relieved.
"Let's make the little time we have together before then count. Let's go to Fransachelli's tomorrow and then we can try out Starfold's Coffee House before my plane takes off. I mean, I don't want to smother you, but I really want to spend as much time together as possible before I leave for 3 months..."
He began to be sad inside.
"I'll call you every day and try to write as much as possible. And I'll give you something to remember me by."
He gave her his lucky necklace

Sally took a look at the necklace. She absolutely loved it. She smiled taking it.
"I um.....I um....I.."
Sally found herself with a loss of words. She couldn't say anything.

It was another great kiss Sally thought. She didn't believe he had to leave for three months. She had finally let him in her life and now he has to leave. She wouldn't let her know how upset she was and would just go with the flow. She didn't want to be on of the complicated girlfriends.

Tyler knew that wouldn't happen, but it was better if she had some hope.
Tyler looked at the clock. He was shocked that it was 11 already!
"Oh shoot, I got to go. Love you."
He kissed her one more time before he left. He felt bad for leaving so abruptly, but he had big plans for tomorrow. That would be the day he moved into his new condo.

Sally waved buy and mouthed I love you too looking at him as he left. She went into her bedroom, grabbed her songbook, and started writing a song.
I remember back then when I was small.
I've been so happy like I was floating.
But now I feel just as happy as then.
And I never felt that way since.....
Thirteen.
She knew this had to be her title track for her album.
