The bar was almost opening, and Kali was planning to sing. She loved open mic and karaoke nights. She remembered once she was at a karaoke party with her friends and she got called up to sing. It turned out to be a rock song. Boy, did she rock out the house! Kali chuckled to herself at the flashback. She looked forward. the club doors were open. She's been daydreaming so long that it opened!
Kali walked into the large room full of people. It was busier then she thought. She found an empty table by the corner and watched as person one by one went up and sang. She waited and waited. She knew she wasn't nervous, she's performed in bigger crowds. But she was nervous. After she saw the other people get booed and shooed off the stage, she didn't know if people would like her.

Xavier decided to take a night and check out the local night life. He went to a bar that had karaoke tunes jamming so loud he could hear it from half a block away. He stepped into the bar and sat down at an empty table. The singing wasn't so great, but it was interesting.
He saw a girl sitting alone at another table. Xavier decided he would go over and sit with her. He walked over and sat across from the timid looking girl.
"Hey." Said Xavier.

"Hi." Kali replied in a daze, watching the singers. The person up was a country gal. Kali thought she was actually pretty good. After she finished, Kali snapped back.
"Are you gonna sing?" Kali asked curiously.

"Yeah, maybe later. I'm just enjoying the night. " Kali replied, calmly. She looked at Xavier and thought for a moment. "Hey, didn't I see you on some singing show?" She asked, curiously.

"Yeah." Xavier replied. "You may have seen me on Superstar Sensation or the second season of America's Next Top Superstar."
"I remember you too."
Xavier was a bit embarassed. He know he has seen her face before, but he just doesn't quite remember her...
"My name's Xavier, by the way."

"Kali. and I remember now!" Kali Dug through her purse, looking for something. When she finally found it, she put on the glasses-nose-Mustache disguise, Just in case.
"I was on All American singer." She replied.
"So, what's your genre?" She asked, trying to make conversation while a bad opera singe sang a 7-minute long song.

Kali got a cell phone call. "Oh, okay." She clicked off her phone. "I'll be right back." She said in a hurry. Kali rushed over to the other open mic thread.  |

Well, that was odd... Xavier thought to himself. He stayed seated and hung around for a little. About fifteen minutes later, someone very weird looking got on the stage.
"Is that... Kali?" Xavier said to himself. "Uh, weird."
The performance was... uh... different.
Another girl Xavier had seen before apeared on the stage. He had seen her on the cover of a CD at the music store. She played the guitar wonderfully, and she had a great voice. Maybe I should go back to the store later and pick up her CD... ((See Keb, if you work for it, I'll get it.))
He only stayed a couble more minutes because it was getting late. Towards the end, he considered getting up on stage. Eh, maybe next time, he thought.
Xavier left the bar and went back home to his condo for a rest after his first day in the new city.
