Riley took in a deep breath. This was normally a time she would've cried at. But she didn't.

Suddenly she felt a burst of anger at Gary. Why couldn't he just say no? He KNEW how she was.

Reality finally set in. She was pregnant. She was going to be a mother in 8 months.

"I might go home... back to Syracuse. But my dad... he might not let me in if he finds out. I don't know what to do Chris... I can't raise a child on my own... and I am all alone... even Rori hates me." she said.

Chris didn't know what to do. He wanted to help Riley, he really did. The girl that he, a moment ago, wanted to stay was far away as possible from was now the girl he wanted to comfort and help get through all this mess. He felt really, really bad for her, yet he did not know what to do.

"...You could move in with me over at James' place," Chris blurted out, "I'm sure he'll be fine with you moving in."

"Chris... that is so thoughtful of you especially considering..." she said.

"Thank you so much Chris. You are my hero," she finished.

Riley gave him a tight hug, then realized she might be hurting him. Chris was so perfect... She wished he was the father instead of the jerk who left her on the streets. Somehow she felt like that would make it ok...
