Jill walked onto the McDonald's line. The line had about 50 people in front of her. She always goes to McDonald's every afternoon for a burger, fries, and a shake. There was some drunk idiot behind her who pushed her into some guy in front of her. He turned around.
"I'm sorry! It was the guy behind me I swear!!!" Jill told him.
That guy was kinda cute. He looked around Jill's age. He looks sweet and hopefully forgiving.

"Wow, such a pretty girl eating fast food? Am I dreaming?" he said, jokingly.
He extended a hand for a handshake.
"I'm Barry," he said with a friendly smile.

Jill laughed. "It's addicting! I'm Jill." Jill shook Barry's hand.
"Really, the drunk behind me pushed me! I'm sorry!" Jill pleaded.
She's pretty sure he forgave her, but she just wanted to make sure.

"Why don't we make a deal? If I forgive you, you sit with me," he said, with smile still lasting.
Barry saw this as a chance to get to know this pretty girl. Who knows what could happen?

"Then it seems you'll forgive me" Jill said still smiling.
Could he actually like me? Jill asked herself. Jill is not used to people wanting to go out with her because they actually like her. Her ex-boyfriend Alex told everyone in school that they had sex together. It was a lie. They've kissed, but they never had sex with each other. People only wanted to date her so they can have sex with her. She was the school very *friendly* person. The girls hated her and the guys attempted touching her boob. No one liked her for who she actually was. Her reputation was why she left her old town. Now a boy seems to like her. This town is MUCH better than her old one.

When they got up to the counter, Barry paid for her food. He had 403 dollars left. He had no where to sleep tonight. Once he ran out of money, he would starve He needed some sort of break.
He hoped this girl could get him out of this. Offer him a place to live or something. Not that he didn't like her, he did.
"So do you live here in the city?" he asked.

"I don't have a house here yet. I'm saving up for one, but I should have one soon."
Jill felt like she could really trust him. She might even tell him about Alex Krankee.
"What about you? Do you live here?"

"Ugh, yeah. I moved here a few weeks ago," he said.
But he couldn't start a relationship on a lie.
"I don't have a place to live yet though," he said.

"Oh. I need 3 more dollars so I might have enough by the end of the night"
Jill really didn't know what to ask him. She's not used to being on dates.
"So... what made you decide to live here?"
Why did she ask that? She knew he would answer it and ask her it back. She didn't want to lie and she didn't want to just leave a truckload of misery and help on him. She couldn't put him through that. He would never talk to her again. She just had to sit there and pray he wouldn't ask the same question back.

"I wanted to get my music going... I was on America's Next Top Singer," he said.
"You have pretty eyes, you know that?" he said.
Barry could sense there was something up with her. He didn't want to hurt her, so he just kept out of her business.

Phew. He didn't ask me that question back.
"Now I remember you! You were soooooooooo good!"
He told her she had pretty eyes. He kinda blurted it out. I mean it was very sudden.
"Why thank you! I LOVE your hair. I don't know why, but black is my favorite hair color."
This all felt very awkward to Jill. She just realized the first thing he asked was about her living arrangments. She found that very strange.
"You really seem nice. I think you should do another audition! You're voice is great and you'll get a record contract for sure!"

"It's dark brown!" he said, laughing.
"I think I'm just gonna cut my losses and just try to get discovered here, or maybe release an independent album. The whole time I was on the show, I felt like I was being controlled, and it just seemed so fake. I want freedom in my music," he said.
He was scared he was saying too much too fast.
"I'm sorry, I'm talking too much..." he said.

"Well I still like your hair no matter what color it is" Jill laughed.
"I guess that's a good idea. Perform at open mic nights. Maybe David Starforld will be there with a contract! I'm sorry, I'm new here, did I pronounce his name correctly?"
"No you're not talking too much at all. I'm the one who talks WAY too much. I just go on and on about the stupidest things... wait, I'm doing that now" Jill laughed. "Sorry, I'm never good at, you know, talking." She laughed again

"Then don't talk," he said.
The moment felt right.
He leaned over and kissed her.

Barry leaned in and kissed Jill. She had no intention of stopping it. So many things were racing through her head. Is this too early? Will I get a reputation here too? Can I trust Barry? Why aren't I stopping this? She ignored all the questions and continued kissing him. She knew she would get the very *friendly* person perutatipn again. She didn't know, but she was pretty sure. She had to stop it, but she actually liked him and he obviously liked her. She was not going to be the one to stop it. She had so many thoughts racing her head shy totally forgot her first kiss was with Alex at McDonald's.
