Again, he was shocked. Everything that came out of her was a shock to him. They're a decade apart!
"What?!" he shouted! "How could this be? You've been lying to me this whole time? I trusted you!"
Brad grabbed his jacket and ran out of the Coffee House. Everything ahead of him was a blur.

"Brad..." was all she could manage to get out.
She held back her tears, but her heart was broken.
She went after him. After everything, she couldn't just let him leave.
She could see him ahead, she ran and full speed and caught up with him.
"I'm sorry I lied. But if I told you I was 14, you wouldn't have even thought twice about it," she said.

He didn't want to turn around. He didn't want to face the past. He couldn't get past the thought of her being 14.
"But you know it can never happen...it's probably illegal!" he said, fighting back tears.

"I don't care about the details. I just care about you!" she said.
"What's 10 years?" she asked.
She couldn't herself from crying. But she held it together, and tears poured down her face silently.

"I'm 24..." he answered.
He thought it was pretty obvious. How could she still think something can happen between them. Maybe before, but now...it's just impossible.
"I'll be 34 by the time you're my age" he said "It's just so weird to me."

"You can't help how you feel," she said.
"And I know we both feel something for eachother, because when I look into your eyes... I can feel it," she said.
"No one has to know,"

There was just too many things going on in his head. He didn't know what to say.
"I'll think about it overnight" he said finally. "I'm currently staying in the hotel down the street in room 22. Look for me in the morning."
On that final note, he left her standing there on the streets.
