Rori pulled up to the movie theater in her car, with Allie next to her. This was their first date. And both of their first dates with a girl.
Rori bought two tickets for them.
"Do you want anything to eat or drink?" she asked.
The guy at the snack-counter smiled at them and checked them out.
["It's a shame that such pretty girls don't have a date to this movie,"] he said.
Rori looked at Allie and felt very awkward.

"I do have a date and she's right next to me," Allie told him. "Just give me one large popcorn and a diet coke please."
The man clearly looked uncomftorable.

["Um... yeah, ok..."] he said.
Rori held Allie's hand. She was happy that she said that. It felt good having someone to stand up for them.

"Any time," Allie said. Just for the man, she started making out with her.
[That's hot,] he said.
"Juat give me my damn popcorn and coke," Allie snapped. "Do you want anything Rori?"

When the man said that, Rori was very offended. She wasn't with Allie for some pervert's amusement.
"Yes, actually I do want something. I'd like to speak with your manager," she said to the man.

"I think there is a need to go there pervert!" Allie yelled at him. The manager came to them.
[What's wrong?] he asked.

"Your employee was sexually harrassing us because we are... lesbians," she said.
Rori looked at Allie then at the manager, who looked very dissapointed with the employee.

"Thank you!" Allie said. Allie and Rori held hands and walked into the movie together. The previews were about to start.
"This is gonna be funny,"Allie said. She kissed her and heard the flash of a camera.

She looked over and saw a group of guys, one holding the camera.
Rori was about to cry.
"Let's just go..." she said.

"No! We're staying here," Allie said. She walked up to the guys.
"Wow, you're cool. Give me the camera," she said.
The biggest guy stood up, ["No!"] he said.
"I said give me the camera!"
["Make me!"]
Allie punched the guy, erased pictures, and handed him the camera. "Don't even look at us again or I swear, that cute little camera will be on the ground crushed. Do I make myself clear!" Allie asked.
[Yes,] the boy mumbled.
Allie walked back to Rori, kissed her, and sat next to her.

"Allie, let's just sit in the back," she said.
This date was turning out to be a disaster. Allie was being brave and all, but it just felt like everyone was staring at them and judging them. How was she going to face the whole world?

"I don't care. I love you," Allie said. She stood on a chair. "I Allie Malaga am in love with Rori Hart and she loves me!" Allie announced.

Rori stood up and walked out of the theater crying. How could Allie embarrass her like that? She was already ruining her life for her, couldn't she just let them have a peaceful night?
Rori sat in her car and cried.
