Barry finished off the last of his Baconator and mountain dew. He had been doing better. He was living with the new and improved Carson, and he was working on an album. He missed Ashley even more since his near-death experience. Something told him that he needed to move on. Even if they would be together someday, it was very painful to love someone who was no longer around.
He wondered after everything that happened with Jill if she was the right choice. It seemed like they were both too messed up to be in a relationship. Carson's girlfriend Kala had been around a lot, and once she brought her cousin. Jenny Black. He talked to her quite a bit and he thought they connected. He just wasn't sure if he would ever see her again, and he told himself he shouldn't date other girls. But Ashley would want him to be happy.

Jenny walked into Wendy's, her stomach completely empty. She'd skipped breakfast that day, so she decided to go out for lunch. The brunette ordered her food, and then sat down with it. In the middle of her meal, something caught her eye.
"Hi, Barry!" she chirped as she strode over to him.

Just as thoughts of Jenny went through his mind, she showed up.
"Oh, hey Jenny," he said.
He stood up and embraced her in a warm hug.
"How are you doing?" he asked.

"I'm doing great, what about you?" Jenny knew about Ashley, but could barely feel a quarter of the pain Barry felt.

Jill walked into Wendy's and saw Barry a girl. The girl who was cousins with her best friend Kala. Or ex best friend. They didn't get in a fight, but she's been spending so much time with Carson, Jill is sure Kala forgot she existed. Jill didn't know if she wanted to see Barry. They have a lot of drama together and she still loves Barry. She got her food and sat down somewhere else staring at Barry. She wasn't spying on Jenny and Barry, she was just staring at her love.

Jenny looked down at her outfit. She was wearing a yellow t-shirt and jeans, not much. "Thanks, you're not looking so bad yourself," she added with a smile.

"Thanks," he said.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot, Carson got recruited by USC!" he said.
Barry thought about Carson. Ever since he met Kala, he had become a great guy. It reminded Barry of when he first met Ashley. He turned his life around for her. Carson even had a kid on the way with another girl, but he just worked double-time for Kala. Carson and Barry had become best friends, almost like brothers. And David was like the father figure he never had. So between the two of them and Ashley's mom, he had a family for the first time in his life.

There was a lot of smiling. Maybe Hill was spying a little. Afraid of them seeing her, she sat at a random table with a family and started laughing with them to blend in still peeking at Jenny and Barry. Does Barry like Jenny? Jill would be crushed if he did.

What are they talking about? The family she was sitting by was scared and ran away so she is just sitting alone facing the other way. They hugged. It wasn't a friend hug. What is going on with them. She just kept peeking behind her.

Barry looked into Jenny's eyes. For a moment, he got lost in them. It took him back to Ashley. Jenny's eyes had the same deep, beautiful look to them.
"Wow..." he said almost inaudibly.
"You have beautiful eyes," he added.

Jill couldn't understand what was happening. She decided to go sit under the table next to them to hear them. Barry just finished talking and she missed that. Hopefully Jenny's just flirting with him and he's not accepting because of Ashley... or Jill.
