She sipped the strong coffee as she sat in the brown, wooden chair, staring down at a copy of Vogue magazine. Her spread had made it into the magazine, yet she wasn't so sure if she as pleased with it. She just felt as if it wasn't her best, as if she could've done better than what she had given them. But it was two late right now, and it was now staring into her face, as well as the millions of Vogue readers across the country and world.
Her two aspirations, singing and modeling, were causing her to feel more stressed out lately. She'd gotten a contract with both Elite Model Management and Taylor Producing Studios. She was busy all day with going on go-sees and recording her first singles. It was stressing her out, and she knew eventually that she would have to choose one over the other. She just didn't know when that would happen.
She peared over through a nearby window, at the beautiful setting of the city. It had been quite a while since she had been able to just sit and relax and just stare at things. She remembered how bored she felt as a kid when she was stuck just sitting and staring. Now, she cherished it. After all, she was so tired and didn't feel like doing a thing...except sit, sip her coffee and forget about her worries.

Sally Carton comes into the shop, really annoyed that all the seats are filled. "Man, today is not my lucky day. Oh well. Maybe I can find someone to sit with." Sally goes up and buys a cup of coffee. She's not a big fan of it, but this was the only shop in town so she went for it. "Thank you very much." Sally then looks for a place to sit. And sees a stressed out Brooke sitting my herself. "She looks really familiar." Sally walks over to Brooke and asks her, "Can I please sit with you?" with a smile.

She was interrupted by a voice, and as she looked up, she saw someone she thought she'd seen before, but wasn't quite sure who it was. A blonde girl was standing there, holding a cup of coffee. At the request to sit at the table, Brooke gave the girl a smile and a simple nod.
"Yeah, sure. Go right ahead!" Brooke replied to the girl, "Hey, I've seen you somewhere. If you don't mind, could you tell me who you are?"

"Oh! I was eliminated last week on So You Think You Can Sing. I'm Sally Carton! It wasn't the best news to get, but I'm alright with it. You look familiar too. Would you tell me who you are?"
Sally was thinking Brooke was quite the nice person. Considering the many things that happened to her in her life, she weren't expecting much. She sat down on the table and took a sip of her coffee. Trying to drink it and trying to hide she didn't like it at the same time.

Brooke grinned as Sally spoke. She seemed like a great, kind girl. "Oh, that's where I saw you. Yeah, I haven't seen that show since, like the Semi-Finals or something, but congratulations on making it so far! The Top 5 is a huge accomplishment!"

David Starfold walked in Starbucks. He was worried. He hadn't signed an artist since Ferdinand Dreaux, and although he is quicky becoming a star, They were very low on personnel. He got his coffee. Unfortunately, there were no seats available.
Looks like he'd have to make it to go.
He looked over at a table with 2 young women. He did a double-take and it looked like it was Brooke Chien and Sally Carton. Sally Carton! He couldn't believe his luck, just what he needed! A fresh new client!
He walked over to them.
"Hello, I am David Starfold. Would you ladies mind if I sit here?"

"Um sure!"
Sally didn't believe her eyes when she saw David Starfold. She had heard of him and she absolutely loved seeing Ferd each week. She was disappointed when he was eliminated. She wondered what he was doing here. Sally decided to take out her song book and start finishing a song she started yesterday.

"Hello, Mr.Starfold," Brooke said, "It's great seeing you here!"
Starfold was pretty famous in their town, maybe even the country. He and Taylor were the huggest recording companies ever, and they were always competing. Brooke remembered when she almost tried to get signed by Starfold Studios, but was signed by Taylor Production Studios instead.
"So, what you doing in these parts today, Mr. Starfold?"

"Thanks. I'm just here getting my morning coffee. By the way, Mr. Starfold was my father! I might start my own coffee franchise. I never did like Starbucks." David said.
"What are you writing there?" David asked Sally

"Oh! It's just a song. I always like to write in the morning. It's kind of my way to deal with everything. If you went to my closet of songs, you'd find I can't fit them all in it. Heh heh!"

"Oh wow a song? I work in the music business, do you mind if I read it?" David asked.
If it was good, and she was Sally, then he would offer her a record deal.

Sally realized then giving him this song could change her life forever. She knew David being interested was a good sign. So she gave him the song.
"It's not really finished but sure! It kind of sums up my experience on So You Think You Can Sing."

David looked over the song thoroughly. He couldn't believe it. It was absolutely fantastic. Pne of the best songs he'd ever read.
"Young lady, I assume you are Sally Carton, how does a major record deal sound?" David asked.

"OH MY GOD!"
Sally screamed and looked around seeing everyone looking at her.
"Uh, you didn't see anything. That'd be GREAT! I'd be so honored."
Sally could barely breathe at this point.

"You write songs? Wow!" Brooke said to Sally, "I seriously didn't know that! Wow, I'm always impressed by song writers, since I could never really write a song on my own. Can I see the lyrics?"
But what followed made Brooke even happier for Sally. "Wow, Sally. Congratulations on your record deal! That's huge!"
