Sammy looked straight into the eyes and knew that this guy just had to be around for awhile. She didn't know what was going to happen next, but it was gonna be good.
"So um, what did you do with Riley?"
Sammy had no idea why she asked that. But looks like it's too late.

Sammy knew Riley was in pain and she knew she had to help her no matter what she and Gary did. She started running for her car to go find Riley.

Gary's voice sounded very distant when he said that. Sammy had already gotten into her car. She put her keys into the car and then started heading for 75th street as fast as she could.

Gary jumped into his lightning yellow convertible and drove after Sammy. If he had to see Riley just to be with Sammy, he was willing to do it.
